wow, that is pretty nifty. i will definitely think about getting one when my trusty archos jukebox recorder finally gives out. of course the thing is built like a tank and has successfully weathered multiple high-speed collisions with concrete and i call it an ipod-killer because, well, it could beat up your ipod without suffering a scratch and until recently had more space (80GB) than any ipod.

i'm really impressed by the featureset the x5 has that the ipod (natively) still doesn't include: line in (thank god), usb host ability to transfer pics from camera, codec support, etc. i wonder if they'll port my mp3 player OS of choice (rockbox) to it...i'd buy one in a second, lacking only one thing in the world to keep me perfectly happy: user-upgradeable hard drive (which my archos does feature, hence its ever-ipod-trumping-ness).
