Most Reviled Woman in America

Rachel posts an entry to her blog speculating that Linda Tripp is the most reviled woman in America. That's an interesting proposition, and I thought it deserved serious investigation. So, I gathered the research crew and we initiated a controlled, double-blind, statistical study. The massive undertaking exhausted our entire spring budget for laboratory rats, but it was a small sacrifice in the name of scientific advancement.

Here are the results obtained by our crack research staff:

"Hillary Clinton" reviled 491 Google hits
"Ann Coulter" reviled 225
"Linda Tripp" reviled 113
"Nancy Reagan" reviled 73
"Ethel Rosenberg" reviled 57
"Leona Helmsley" reviled 10

So while Linda Tripp does indeed exhibit a high degree of revulsion, it appears that Hillary Clinton is 369% more reviled.

So, congratulations to Sen. Clinton. America says, "You're our bitch!"

What funny games bloggers weave. I mentioned recently that the google search for "most reviled woman in America" returned only

I expanded a bit on your very scientific research, and here's what I found.

Of currently living women:

"Margaret Thatcher" reviled - 511 Google hits
"Monica Lewinsky" reviled - 503
"JK Rowling" reviled - 216
"Yoko Ono" reviled - 186
"Imelda Marcos" reviled - 46

and from history:

"Mary Magdalene" reviled - 2,080 Google hits
"Cleopatra" reviled - 567
"Eva Braun" reviled - 36
"Ma Ferguson" reviled - 3

Of course, only one of these is a currently living American woman, but one conspicuously missing from your research: Monica Lewinsky, the current standing most reviled woman in America.

Thank you for uncovering the weaknesses in our study. It's always a humbling blow, but scientific integrity must persevere.

The people responsible for this oversight have been sacked.

Note to the masses: Rachel (who Google has decided is the world's foremost authority on the reviled woman issue) has blogged an update.

That cracks me the hell up. :)

Oh lawdy, lawdy, this is funny as hell. Hillary and Monica competing again. I'd rather claim Hillary as America's bitch, though. At least she has an above average IQ. (I go for intelligent women.)

According to Googlefight, Hillary wins.

If you use Googlefight for "Hillary Clinton" reviled and "Monica Lewinsky" reviled, Monica wins.

I'm pleased to announce that my title as foremost authority on reviled women has been relinquished and presented to Chip Rosenthal by google.com.

Whee!
